President/CEO P&N Global Advisors, an energy advisory firm focused on the development, acquisition, and operations of power plants in growing Latin America Carlos Soto has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry, with extensive experience in energy commodities in North America and South America and foreign exchange. Soto has focused on physical and financial natural gas, crude, products, NGL’s, and power. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Most recently, Soto was Vice President of North American Natural Gas for Saja Energy. In this capacity, he was responsible for all trading, structuring, and marketing of natural gas in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

Previously, Soto served as an advisor to EDF Trading North America. There, he advised on business development projects with a North American focus. This initiative led to the partnership of EDF trading with a minority-owned business primarily focused on natural gas and electricity.

Previously, with Macquarie Energy he served as Manager (VP)/Trader – Canada, Pacific Northwest, California, and Rockies Natural Gas, where he created and developed Western U.S./Canada Natural Gas trading. Soto subsequently served in positions of increasing responsibilities for Macquarie Energy.

Soto began his career in energy at British Petroleum (BP), where he served as a Natural Gas Trader Western U.S. and Canada, Financial Structurer/Marketer, Storage and Transport Optimizer Texas and Gulf of Mexico, and NYMEX Trader Structured and Derivative Products.

Soto received dual B.S. degrees (Hutton Honors Division) in Finance/International Business from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He also minored in Spanish and Economics.
